Hi Miwha
ReplyDeleteI have heard about this potential problem. from what i understand is that Hawk noticed that the ACA was sometimes slower than it should be. He also noticed that this normally happened when the nose of the boat was raised and the stern was down. I passed this information to Caf and he thinked a thunk and he seems to believe its because the boat is moving up a wave, almost like surfing the back end of the wave. Caf is going to of course take a look into this for the very near future. Caf kind of thought this happened when there were no waves in the WWC. it shouldnt be a problem if we have waves set into the windsettter.. and to be honest it hasnt shown itself for around a year of 3.0 being out there. It will completely clear up with 3.1 (which will come out very soon after the Trophy. In the fleet races and match races there will be a race wind set (with Wave height and current set)that should have this quirk covered.
Hi Quirky
ReplyDeleteThank you for your detailed account.
I understood very well.
I wish this potential problem to be improved at soon with 3.1 :)
